The Pink Ladies
The Pink Ladies is a WhatsApp support group helping women with Cancer. This fantastic community helped hundreds of ladies since 2014. They organize monthly informal get together. See here to know more and contact them by email directly at pinkladiesuae@gmail.com.
Friends of Cancer Patients UAE
Initiative from Sharjah emirate, the FOCP are raising awareness and helping cancer patients and their families. They provide moral and financial support to cancer patients and their families.
Brest Friends & the Al Jalila Foundation
Brest Friends is the first breast cancer support group in the UAE established in 2005 by Dr Houriya Kazim, the UAE’s first female surgeon, where patients and survivors meet monthly to learn, share experiences and offer moral and emotional support to each other which has shown to be instrumental in a woman’s healing process. Through partnership with Al Jalila Foundation in 2015, Brest Friends is further empowered to fulfill its goals and raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment in the UAE.
The monthly meetings usually falls on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m as follows:
- The first hour is a “closed circle” meeting for those who need a space to talk. This hour is run by a Health Psychologist and a Life Coach.
- The 2nd hour is a social gathering informal mingling with some snacks, coffee & tea.
- The 3rd hour is varies from breast cancer specific talks or activities such as a yoga or dance class. The 3rd hour varies depends on theme (talks, activities or workshops)

Pink Ribbon Crafters
Lina and the Pink Ribbon Crafters found a creative way to support Cancer patients with limited resources. The volunteers craft and give their creation in exchange of a donation on markets, fundraising for Brest friends Al Jalila foundation. They always look for volunteers (not just crafters) so fill free to contact them and visit their website.
